Maxime DAVOUST was born in 1958 in Linselles ( France). He follows for ten years the Lyon Fine Arts school free courses. He practices sculpture, with Ivan Kulinski in Sofia, as well as painting in the  Lyon Franck Bonnefoy workshop.

 

Attracted by the geometrical representation in space, Maxime DAVOUST has an analytical and figurative approach, borrowing simultaneously from the classic art,  the art deco and from the futurism. He establishes links between past, present and future. His artistic inspiration rises in the history, questionning  the future and avoiding breakings. A living art  does not reproduce the past, it continues it (Rodin).
