«RAW MATERIALS EXPERIENCE»

For several years, Gaspard has created its artistic concept, the «MATERIOGRAPHY», or how to write matter and vice versa.

Gaspard’s art is raw, subtle and original. Its principle is to paint with matter: sands from distant beaches, marble powder on a relatively thick surface, iron powder, golden copper leaves, colored glass beads. Gaspard snatches these heavy materials from gravity. From the horizontal, he installs it vertically glued to the square frame of the painting.

He completes his master work by "scribbling" these materials, melted in paintings are thus drawn.  Its precision and perfectionism lead the observer through a journey around the world.
